Stop with the tennis shoes….

We were out for dinner the other night at The Wild Ginger.  If you live in Seattle you know about this restaurant.  Trendy, consistent, Asian cuisine.  I’m no foodie, but I love that I’m never disappointed in my meal and I love the atmosphere.  Speaking of atmosphere, did I mention that it’s a beautiful restaurant, white table cloths, the works?

So what is it that makes people think that on a Saturday night, they can wear college sweatshirts and tennis shoes?   I really don’t get it.  I often hear that people want to be comfortable and I get that.  But come on.  You can be comfortable but NOT wear tennis shoes.

Here are some options I came up with.  I chose all flat (or almost flat) boots/shoes that would be comfortable because I know that is the issue.  Some of these could be men or women’s boots.  Yes, I’m talking to both men and women here!

Shoes of Prey

If you love shoes, and who doesn’t, this site might interest you.  I came across this site last year and then was reminded about it when I picked up the February Oprah Magazine.

Here’s the deal:

The website Shoes of Prey is a “create your own” shoe site.  Choose your style, size, colors, etc and then check it out on a 360 camera before you plop it into the cart and hit BUY.  Don’t love them?  Yes, you can return them.

Here’s an example of what I came up with.  You’ll see the little dots included in the picture.  When you are creating your own, those dots will guide you through the process.  Give it a try!

Fashionable Orthopedic Shoes, REALLY!

I’ve been seeing a lot of the Earthies Orthopedic shoes all over these days.  SheFinds showed them in April.  I saw them in Romax in Seattle last week and they are popping up on women’s feet everyday.  You know how Seattlelites love their comfort?  Well, we also like style.  And if you are looking for both, you should check these out.

Kooshyfoot Flats to Go

Have you seen the “flats” to go that fit into your handbag?  Let’s say that you spend the day/night on your feet in high heels.  You are exhausted but didn’t bring an extra pair of shoes.  That’s where Kooshyfoot Flats to Go comes in handy. They are a pair of foldable flats that will fit into even a tiny purse.  All you have to do is slip off your heels and you have instant comfort after a long day or night.  Check them out online at kooshyfoot.com.
