Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to throw away all of the clothes In my closet like that show on tv?
Absolutely not! I get frustrated with shows that have you getting rid of everything. It's not realistic and it's not necessary. I believe everyone has some things in their closet to work with.
I don't have a ton of money to spend on clothes. Are you good at budget shopping and telling me where to find the deals?
I love a good bargain, just like the next person. I always remind people that it's not a bargain if you don't wear it. I think people often make the mistake of buying something because it is on sale or because it is cheap which is a mistake. That said, I love to look for bargains and can help send you in the direction your budget allows whether that be Target or Barney's.
My closet is a mess. I don't want you to see it until I get it cleaned out.
That's my job! To see a closet and give you advice on organization while we get rid of stuff. You'll be surprised when we get done and you see how much more space you have for new stuff and also how you can see what you have.
I weigh too much right now. I want to lose some weight before I hire you.
The thing is, your life is happening right now! I guarantee that you will feel better and more motivated to look your best if you look your best NOW instead of waiting for the weight to come off.
I'm "just" a stay at home mom. I would hire you if I had a "job."
Being a mom IS a job. It's a huge job and if you don't feel good about yourself, it's hard to take care of someone else and feel good. I love working with stay at home moms because I think that we tend to lose ourselves a bit when we have kids. Doing a closet rescue and finding the Real You is a great way to get back to making yourself a priority.
I think that people really see me for who I am inside, not what I look like. I don't want to be so shallow that I actually think what I look like matters.
We live in a world of first impressions. You have them, I have them, everyone has them whether we admit it or not. It IS important how you project yourself to people. It DOES matter that what you put out to people is who you really are. If you don't, you are selling yourself short.
I just want to be comfortable.
Me too! And I am everyday. And I'm not wearing sweats or workout clothes all day to be comfortable. I can show you how to be comfortable and look pulled together everyday no matter what your life looks like. All it takes is a little planning and strategic shopping skills.
Do you work with men?
Absolutely. The process is the same and is tailored to men's specific needs whether it be work, casual wear or both.
