For the past 8 years I’ve owned my own business as a Personal Image Stylist. I’ve worked with hundreds of clients, helping them to find their personal style to promote the image they need for their professional work. I began as a personal shopper at Nordstrom and moved on from there. My background is in education and I’ve held a variety of Director positions previous to this career in Early Childhood Development and Tutoring programs. In addition, I worked as a large loss negotiator for an insurance company for several years.
I’ve volunteered with the Boys and Girls Club of King County as a presenter for their Youth of the Year as workshop leader on personal style. I also served on the Steering Committee for Influence Her, a girls empowerment program thru Boys and Girls Clubs. Currently, I volunteer for Dress For Success as a mentor. I’m also on the board of Fashion Group International and am head of programming. This spring I am the Boutique Coordinator for Northwest Hope and Healing Fashion show, a benefit for women surviving breast cancer.
I write a monthly newsletter which is distributed to approximately 300 people and I have created a Style File which I provide to my clients upon completion of work. It is a working notebook of my recommendations for their future style. In addition, I have written and presented workshops for employee training.
